For the second year in a row, Stanford Blood Center (SBC) is excited to be part of one San Jose’s largest community events, Christmas in the Park. This local tradition draws over 500,000 visitors from Thanksgiving to the New Year and is a great way for SBC to showcase who we are and the important work we do in the community — and spread a little cheer while we’re at it!

elf-sweaterThis year’s tree theme is the ever popular “ugly holiday sweater,” and we invite all donors to get into the spirit by wearing any ugly sweater when they visit our tree. If you take a photo with the tree showing off your sweater and use the hashtag #SBCuglysweater, you will be entered to win a pair of pair of movie tickets and an assortment of movie theater candy.

But wait, there’s more! We will also be hosting a mobile blood drive at Christmas in the Park on December 23, from 12-4 and we need your help to make it a success; local patients are counting on your donation. So be sure to make an appointment to donate at our mobile drive to secure your spot. Remember to wear your ugly sweater for another chance to win your movie theater prize. Donors will also receive a classic heart-shaped holiday ornament as a thank you!
