Participate» Seeking Submissions of Heartfelt Haiku
• Now through Thursday, February 16
• Open to All!
Last year, we collected over 60 haiku from donors like you. This year, we’re going to turn your three-line works of “heart” into cards for local patients! All you need to do is write a haiku (or two, or three…) and post it to our Facebook wall. Or, if you prefer, email your poem to SBCsocialmedia@lists.stanford.edu.
Here are the simple instructions:
Create three lines of poetry that reflect your feelings about donating blood and the patients who are fortunate to receive it.
The first line will have 5 syllables, the second will have 7, and the third, 5. Here’s an example:
When I donate blood
I know I’m saving a life
And earning my POG
To see last year’s entries, visit our blog.
Please submit your entries by Thursday, February 16. All poems will be posted to our blog Tuesday, February 21.
